Parramatta Mission Apartments

ecodesign recently completed landscape documentation for the renovation of a block of units to be used by the Parramatta Mission as part of their Family Accommodation Project. The project aim to provide affordable accommodation units to the extended families of patients receiving treatment in the Westmead Children’s Hospital. ecodesign worked closely with Stanton Dahl Architects to provide a speedy cost effective resolution.

Beach Street Residential Subdivision

ecodesign was commissioned by the Astoria Group to assist with providing development application documentation for an ecologically sensitive property at Bonny Hills on the Mid North Coast of NSW. We prepared a Landscape Master Plan for the site which was to contain 32 homes and 32 units proposed to be built on land zoned for rural purposes. The site was found to also contain known Koala habitat, Squirrel Glider habitat, a Riparian Zone, Bushfire Risk and remnant vegetation from the Subtropical coastal floodplain forest of the NSW North Coast bioregion - endangered ecological community.

Lakeside Industrial Village

FKP Property Group Home engaged ecodesign to prepare a Landscape Master plan for the 2nd stage of the Lakeside Industrial Village. Our commission also extended to the preparation of Landscape Development Guidelines the guidelines set out the landscape requirements for the individual lots within the subdivision.

Sirius Road Industrial Subdivision

ecodesign was engaged by Demian Developments to prepare the Landscape Master Plan for the Sirius Road Industrial Subdivision in Lane Cove. ecodesign worked in close coordination with the Architectural practice Tony Owen Partners.

The site bordered by the Lane Cove National Park and the Lane Cove River Riparian Zone. The site was classified as bush fire prone and had significant flora and fauna value.

The NPA Bioblitz

ecodesign director Adrian Swain volunteered his knowledge of natural environments to participate as a Team Leader in the inaugural BioBlitz at Federal Park in Glebe. The BioBlitz surveyed the plants and wildlife of five different parks in Sydney to collect data on the biodiversity in our city.
