Eden Gardens 7 Beds Design Competition

Our winning design "The garden of reclaimation" showcased ways that embodied energy may be captured from salvaged materials. Materials used include 120yo english handmade terracotta chimney pots, salvaged plants, recycled common bricks, salvaged hardwood and recycled terracotta roof tile mulch. We also need to thank Eden Gardens, Sydney Sandstone and ME Lighting (LED lighting) for their genourous donations of time and materials that made this garden possible.

Sydney's Flower and Garden Show

Our display garden (constructed by The Other Side Landscapes) won the silver medal. Utilising using mature hedging plants (donated by True Leaf Nurseries) created intimate garden rooms. The central water feature showcasing a BHP Water Tank was a splash. Our design demonstrated water use zoning, by grouping low water use plants together and high water use plants together. The garden encapsulated a great energy from the show patrons.

Our recycled display boards were reclaimed froma council cleanup and framed with recycled Oregon timbers.

Green Building and Renewable Energy Exhibition

The ecodesign display at this expo sought to educate people on organic/ecological gardening and plant selection that suits the local microclimate. We were at home amongst photovoltaic cell manufacturers, solar hot water installers and alternative eco-building service and product suppliers.

Our sleek display framed with plants supplied by Alpine Nursery.
